Rita and Rod Hunt commenced Business in December 2002 with an aim of serving home style food using fresh locally sourced produce for the locals & visitors passing through the Pokolbin vineyard region of the Hunter Valley. Our aim is to serve and supply :-

3. Cakes, biscuits & slices all made by us at the cafe...
4. A wonderful relaxed atmosphere with friendly country hospitality...
5. A cafe with a feeling of freshness and a wonderful ambiance...

We have now achieved this, serving tourists from all over the world, as well as our many loyal and local customers (see our comments page) using Wine Country Cafe as their first and many times last stop, on their tour of the Hunter region. Through 'word of mouth' we have created a reputation with our Upper Hunter country clients who regularly visit us as a much needed break on their journey both to and from Sydney.

Many are arriving from Tamworth, Scone, Mudgee, Murrurundi, Gunnedah, Muswellbrook, Denman and afield, we look forward to their regular visits.

We now intend to keep up our good work, satisfying all our guests with the great food & hospitality they have come to expect.
